Description

Lunar Gateway Human System Integration Engineer in the I-HAB Baseline, Verification and AIT Team, Lunar Exploration Group, Directorate of Human and Robotic Exploration Programmes, assigned as integrated support from the Systems Engineering Division, Systems Department, Directorate of Technology, Engineering and Quality.

The Lunar Gateway Human System Integration Engineer will contribute to the development of the hardware, software and functional design of the ESA Gateway modules (I-HAB and ESPRIT), ensuring that human factor aspects and interface requirements are part of each equipment/sub-system/system design, including the crew systems.

The objectives of this post are to:

โ€ข ensure the implementation of anthropometry, human system integration (HSI) and crew system requirements in the ESA Gateway modulesโ€™ design baseline, which is traceable throughout all levels and design stages;

โ€ข coordinate the hardware, software and functional implementation of HSI requirements across and within all subsystem designs, resulting in safe and effective crew activities, as well as enabling the flawless integration of crew systems into the modulesโ€™ architecture;

โ€ข establish the I-HAB and ERM HSI design, development and integration, verification and validation planning for the ESA Gateway modules and coordinate its implementation. This applies to nominal, contingency and maintenance crew activities inside I-HAB and ERM;

โ€ข ensure industryโ€™s implementation of the agreed planning and closeout requirements;

โ€ข support the Gateway team for aspects related to the sparing and logistics of the ESA Gateway modules, as well as the related inventory management complementing the NASA Gateway logistics programme.
