Background:
The Office of Central Co-ordination (OCC) is part of the Department of the Head of Mission. The main portfolios of the Office are co-ordination, projectsโ review and gender mainstreaming.
It co-ordinates and manages strategic planning and task-management processes to ensure that clearance, tasking and workflow within the Mission run in a timely and efficient manner, the Missionโs work products and external publications contain accurate and current information, and that gender is mainstreamed into all aspects of the Missionโs work. In addition, the OCC participates in various cross-departmental working groups and co-ordination meetings. It oversees the drafting and revisions of Mission-wide strategic and programmatic documents, such as the Mission Implementation Plan (MIP), Programme Outline (PO), the UB Budget Proposal (UBP) and the Programme Budget Performance Report (PBPR), Mission Strategic Framework and the annual Mission Youth Action Plan. OCC also serves as a point of contact for the OSCE Secretariat CPC/PESU, and attends co-ordination meetings with other International Organizations in Kosovo.
Another main task of the OCC is to ensure the oversight and co-ordination of the Missionโs project review and evaluation. The office is responsible for the monitoring and evaluation of the Missionโs programmes and project portfolio (UB and ExB), providing support and guidance to the Departments to ensure that the OSCE project management, especially monitoring and evaluation standards are used in the project cycle.
The OCC is recruiting a local Intern who is looking to gain experience and support the unit in in strategic planning, project management, and co-ordination. The duration of the internship is 6 months.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The local Intern, under the supervision of the Deputy Head of the Office of Central Co-ordination, will learn about the work of OSCE Mission in Kosovo, and get acquainted with OCC work. The Intern will support the work of Office by carrying out the following tasks:
Providing support to the OCC project team in co-ordinating the Missionโs project management during different stages of the project cycle (Project planning, implementation and monitoring and evaluation) by ensuring programme/project activities and project documents drafted adhere to the Missionโs strategic priorities, standard operating procedures, and internal guidelines; Co-ordinating and liaising with the Mission's Departments, Sections and Regional Centres in compiling Mission work products such as briefing materials and talking point; Providing support to the Mission Gender Adviser in compiling Mission strategic documents related to the topic of gender equality; Assisting in reviewing Mission external documents prior to publications to ensure they are consistent with the Mission policies on clearance procedures and meet Missionโs standards; Monitoring relevant developments for the maintenance of internal information database such as database on Kosovo donors; Together with members of OCC, attending Missionโs working groups on the thematic topics such as youth and violent extremism and radicalization that lead to terrorism (VERLT) and provide support in relations to these working groups such as desk research, minutes taking, follow up on action points; Attending and contributing to regular internal meetings of the Office of Central Co-ordination and, when necessary, departmental meetings; Assisting with any other tasks as requested by the head of the Office of Central Co-ordination, or direct supervisor.For more detailed information on the structure and work of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, please see: https://www.osce.org/mission-in-kosovo

Remuneration Package:
In lieu of remuneration the OSCE Mission in Kosovo will contribute towards the cost of living of local interns who are non-residents at the duty station (place of assignment), such compensation is equivalent to 10% of the applicable BLA rate. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme. The internship does not constitute a commitment to future employment with the OSCE.
