The purpose of the LFS Coordinator position is to lead the implementation of LFS projects for people affected by conflict in Western Ukraine. The LFS Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, designing and supervision of all LFS activities implemented by NRC in relevant areas ensuring that they contribute to the overall country and programme strategy.

Under the leadership of the line manager the purpose of the LFS Coordinator is to support and ensure that all LFS activities, are planned, implemented, monitored and reported according to NRC standards, procedures and national regulations. This could include business development, sustainable agriculture and production, sustainable value chains, economic inclusion, as well as activities within LFS that implement Cash & Voucher Assistance (CVA).ย 

Generic responsibilitiesย 

Demonstrated knowledge and skills in LFS related analysis, Cash and Voucher Programming (CVA), microenterprise business start-ups, savings and financing, and agricultural sector-based programs such as farming, agroecology, agribusiness, soil science, nutrition.ย  Documented results related to the positionโ€™s responsibilities.ย  Excellent interpersonal and networking skills and the ability to liaise authoritatively with figures from the humanitarian community, local media, local government and army, and other relevant actors, when required.ย  Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision and in compliance with basic security rules.ย  Proven leadership skills.ย  Good understanding of humanitarian compliance vis-ร -vis donors and accountability to donors and affected populations.ย  Good external representation skills.ย  Highest standards of ethics and integrity Context/ Specific skills, knowledge and experience:ย  Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.ย  Fluency in Ukrainian essential, Russian desirable.ย  Good proficiency in English, both written and verbal, essential.ย  Willingness to work in demanding, stressful situations with respect for basic security rules.ย  Experience working with humanitarian organizations, private sector, donors, or international agencies.ย  Experience working with vulnerable groups and ability to demonstrate conflict sensitivity.ย
