OVERVIEW OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE POST

The Education for Health and Wellbeing (EHW) Junior Programme Assistant post will be based in Dar es Salaam, reporting to the National Professional Officer - Education for Health and Wellbeing and providing support towards the implementation of UBRAF work under the UNESCO Dar es Salaam Office portfolio. S/he will be responsible for providing programmatic support to ensure effective, planning, implementation, and monitoring of UNESCOโ€™s work on EHW related to โ€œempowering Adolescent Girls and Young Women & Boys (AGYWB) in education and community settings to actively engage on HIV response including on Violence & Bullying preventionโ€. Specifically, s/he will provide support on the introduction of Girls Safe Space Clubs in selected secondary schools & folk development colleges; implementation of HIV self-test literacy program; introduction of HIV post-test clubs in selected HTEIs; and implementation of digital literacy, online safety & SRHR dialogues. The incumbent will also assist the Project Assistant โ€“ EHW in day-to-day administrative related work and support to the EHW Country Team.
