Your responsibilities

Do you have a passion for scientific or technical communication?

You will be responsible for a share of IT's communication projects and campaigns, working in close liaison with IT's Communications Officer. In this way you will help implement IT's new communication strategy.

In particular, you will contribute to communicating the work of CERN openlab and the QTI to a wide range of audiences:

Producing public reports and outreach material.Running the CERN openlab website.Monitoring press coverage.Supporting workshops and other events.Helping with CERN openlab's nine-week summer-student programme.Coordinating the annual summer-student hackathon.

Your profile

Skills and/or knowledge

Experience in communication related to science, technology and innovation, preferably in a multicultural setting.Excellent ability to communicate with diplomacy.Experience with science and technology writing, especially for digital/social media platforms.Demonstrated presentation and teamwork skills.Fluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Science Communication (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a fellow or graduate contract before.

Contract duration: 24 months, with a possible extension up to 36 months maximum.

This position requires:

Work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organization.
