Conduct face to face and or virtual interpretations (consecutive interpretation) from fromย Tigrinya, Amharic, Somali, Arabic, saho and Dinka to English and vice versaย in the context of refugee under-going selection mission interviews, medical assessment and cultural orientation in accordance with confidentially, integrity, professionalism and with the respect to diversity.ย Support with theย ย translation of refugee documents related to the selection, medical and cultural orientation activities.ย Respond to queries related to the area of responsibility.ย ย Discharge the responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the core, functional, cross functional, ย high competence and professionalism.ย ย Maintain a high level of neutrality when performing interpretation work and avoid providing his/her personal inputs or ideas when delivering messages between the interviewer and the refugee applicant.ย Provide general clerical support to IOM staff, conduct telephonic communications if needed as a part of the routine follow upย Provide ad hoc support for written translations as would be required. Provide general information and answers to basic queries on the resettlement procedures to the refugees as would be instructed by IOM. Contribute to reporting activities and statistics as would be requestedย Perform an any other related duties as required. Education
Bachelor's degree in Social Science or any related field. Experience
