5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

UNICEF works in some of the worldโ€™s toughest places, to reach the worldโ€™s most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential.ย

Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone.ย

And we never give up.ย

For every child, Opportunities.

UNICEF in Latin America and the Caribbean is composed of 24 country offices that work in 35 countries and territories. The main role of the regional office is to provide technical assistance, build the capacity and exercise quality control to the 24 country offices. The Social and Behavioural Change (SBC) section responds to these Country Offices through technical expertise and advisory and leveraging initiatives and platforms to accelerate results in the different programmes that it serves.

For the emergency context, the team has identified particular challenges in the COโ€™s with one of the main areas of opportunity to increase capacity and inter-country coordination in the response for 1) Children on the Move, with important takes in both the Central America and Mexico (CAMEX) sub-regional SBC response and 2) capacity development for adequate preparedness, response and mitigation.

How can you make a difference?ย

We are seeking for an intern who is creative, dynamic, self-driven, up to date and passionate about the latest technologies and techniques and can apply them to generate content.

The SBC Intern will work within the UNICEF SBC section in the Regional Office and will have the opportunity to contribute to make a large impact on the design, architecture, and implementation of all the regional SBC work in emergency and migration.
