Work LocationHome-Based Expected duration20 May-19 Nov, 2024 Duties and Responsibilitiesโ€ข Elaborate and implement a mediation strategy for the social conflicts on the North of Cauca, Colombia. โ€ข Design an approach or methodology to foster the participation of different social actors and communities on mediation situations and the incorporation of a victimโ€™s centered approach and of International Human Rights Standards (IHRS) in the processes of mediation at different levels. โ€ข Contribute to the identification of human rights issues/problem areas, emerging and evolving trends of human rights concerns and violations related to the social conflict in the North of Cauca as well as response and capacity gaps, and assist in the development of strategies to respond. โ€ข Prepare technical briefings on diverse topics related to human rights issues affecting communities in the North of Cauca. โ€ข Coordinate the work of the team that supports the articulation and functioning of the roundtable of the North of Cauca. โ€ข Support the articulation and coordination of technical assistance from agencies, funds, and programs regarding the mediation process in the North of Cauca. Qualifications/special skillsFirst degree in Law Desirable post degree studies in human rights, IHL international relations, peace and conflict. 10 years of progressively responsible experience in political affairs, international relations, law, conflict resolution, security, peace talks, development management, or related are Experience in a conflict or post-conflict setting is highly desirable.
