Tätigkeitsbereich

We provide policy and implementation support to our partner Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on new and innovative areas for implementation of solar energy. There is a huge demand for land and rooftop space for installation of solar systems. The project is being designed to find innovative ways for expanding application of photovoltaics in land neutral applications. The project outlines the identification of potential innovative areas and application of photovoltaics which includes solar in urban areas, potential mapping, assessment of costs and yields and demonstration projects. Assistance to strengthen the domestic solar industry and institutions is required to develop knowledge and capacities which would lead to India being self-reliant in the solar energy space. In the first phase, the technology and applications for photovoltaics application will be decided followed by potential mapping. Do these activities sound interesting to you? Ihre Aufgaben

Communication with project partners in India and Germany Assist in implementing project activities related to Renewable Energy by conducting background research and providing inputs to reports, briefings, and background papers Initiating research projects with external partners (including development of Terms of Reference) Drafting reports for German Ministry, BMZ and BMUV Project management in research projects Support in dissemination of information, including contribution to the newsletter, drafting news items and press releases for events and activities Assist the Project Leader in planning and organizing events Support the team in the implementation of a communication strategy for the project Any other tasks related to the project assigned during the internship Assist the project in recruiting the next set of interns

Ihr Profil

Final year Bachelor's/Master's student of Energy Engineering/Environmental Sciences/ Economics/Political Science/Project-/ or related areas; graduation should not have been completed more than six months ago Perfect command of English language C2 level in German language is a must Good research and document writing/editing skills with strong communication skills and ability to work in an intercultural organisation Good MS-Office skills Strong organisational skills First long-term experience in GIZ partner countries is an advantage Professional experience related to energy or project/event management is preferred

Hinweise

Please be informed that you are only allowed to apply for this internship, if you are currently enrolled as a student or graduated not longer than six months ago from the start of your internship.

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.134,52 (gross). Depending on the country of assignment a monthly expatriation allowance (gross), predetermined by GIZ will be paid on top.
