Org. Setting and ReportingThe Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY)โs internship is for 3 months, depending on the needs of the mission. The position is located in the Security Arrangements team (SAT) of the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen. The candidate will report to the SAT team leader for engagement and will work closely with other members of the team as needed. The successful candidate would be selected for a period of 3-6 months. The work would be performed remotely. The candidate will support the Security Arrangementโs team with data collection, analysis, and visualization to improve reporting, analysis, and informed decision-making on engagement. Additionally, the qualified candidate will support other knowledge management tasks and projects as relevant. Responsibilitiesโข Assist in gathering, cleaning, and consolidating data from various sources and digital tools, ensuring accuracy and consistency. โข Perform exploratory data analysis and apply statistical methods to derive actionable insights using tools like Power BI. โข Support the creation of analytical reports to be used by SAT teams for monitoring engagement activities. โข Create dashboards, infographics, and reports to present findings clearly and support informed decision-making. โข Validate data accuracy, identify and address data quality issues, and contribute to the development of improved data strategies. โข Maintain organized libraries (e.g., SharePoint), standardize processes, and collaborate on research initiatives and documentation efforts. CompetenciesProfessionalism: Good knowledge of relevant operational processes and procedures, including records and filing procedures; ability to work with figures, as well as undertake routine research and gather information from a variety of sources.
