Our team and mission

The Programme Planning and Coordination Office, based in ESA headquarters in Paris (HQ-B), oversees the overall coordinating, planning, and monitoring of all activities and programmes that fall under the responsibility of the Navigation Directorate. This includes managing agreements with our stakeholders, leading strategic management processes, defining long-term financial and resource plans, providing input to ESA corporate management, coordinating the Programme Board as well as ensuring communication and outreach on ESAโ€™s navigation programmes.

We are a team of (4) driven professionals in HQ-B, in daily cooperation and interaction with our colleagues in other ESA establishment offices, most notably ESTEC and Centre Spatial Toulouse. One specific task of the Navigation Coordination Office (NAV-MC) that falls under the Programme Planning and Coordination Office is the management and implementation of the internal and external communication and outreach strategy of the Directorate, in close cooperation with the ESA Communication Department. Our aim is to inform the public and our stakeholders on the outputs and achievements of our Directorate on a frequent basis, in order to raise awareness and interest for our programmes (Galileo, EGNOS, H2020, NAVISP).
