This position is based at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) - Noordwijk, Netherlands
The Strategy, Coordination and Management Support Office reports to the Director of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness. In close collaboration with the four departments, it supports the Directorate for matters related to Strategy, including the evolution of the Directorate's programmatic activities, for matters related to the Coordination of inter-department and inter-directorate activities, and for ad-hoc support to the CIC Management.

Field(s) of activity for the internship
You can choose between the following topics:
1) Topic 1: Strategy for Commercialisation and Competitiveness at ESA
As an intern, you will be involved in the following tasks:
- Support the development of a Vision for the Directorate of Commercialisation, Industry and Competitiveness.
- Providing input for the implementation of this Vision in a policy for Commercialisation and suggestions on concrete actions. Consult relevant stakeholders and mapping their interests for preparation of future programmes and activities.
- Support the ongoing actions towards streamlined processes at ESA and in the Directorate for sharing of information and knowledge, communication, (automatic) reporting.

2) Topic 2: Integration of the ESA sustainability targets in the ESA Commercialisation activities
As an intern, you will be involved in the following tasks:
- Providing support in implementing practical responsible procurement guidelines in line with the ESA Green Agenda, to reduce ESAโs induced Carbon footprint generated by ESAโs activities and missions with the European industry.
- Provide proposals and implement actions towards the reduction of the Directorateโs own carbon footprint, for example through responsible travel guidelines with emphasize on their practicality.

3) Topic 3: Space Project Management Process Analysis for Commercialisation
As an intern, you will be involved in the following tasks:
- Supporting existing task forces, map the current practices in ESA for project management, with a focus on risk management.
- Propose improvements for commercialisation related projects and implement actions towards a more agile project management if and when required.

You must have student status and be enrolled at university for the entire duration of the internship. You should preferably be in your final or second to last year of a university course at masterโs level in a technical or scientific discipline.
Additional requirements
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

- Knowledge and background in environmental or climate sciences is an asset
3) Topic 3:
