Background:
The work of the Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) focuses on a range of security issues including countering terrorism, border security and transnational threats such as human trafficking, to developing the countryโs regions, strengthening efforts to combat corruption on all levels, as well as supporting the reform of the justice sector, implementation of election reform, gender equality and building open and resilient societies.
The Fund Administration Unit (FAU) of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB) is looking for a local intern for its Finance Unit. The successful candidate will undertake an unpaid internship for a period of up to six months, subject to the satisfactory performance by the incumbent.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the National Financial Officer, the selected intern will be responsible for the following duties:
โข Assist in organizing and structuring financial and accounting documents (contracts, invoices, receipts, tax reports, payroll records, etc.) in accordance with internal procedures and relevant legal requirements;
โข Digitize financial documents by scanning, naming, and archiving them in the appropriate electronic folders and databases;
โข Assist in creating and maintaining a clear, user-friendly classification system for both physical and electronic documentation;
โข Support the identification and safe disposal of outdated or unnecessary records in accordance with thedocument retention policy;
โข Maintain confidentiality and data protection while handling financial and sensitive documents;
โข Provide administrative support in preparing documentation for audits and inspections, including compiling and labeling relevant files;
โข Prepare regular status updates and reports to the supervisors on progress made;
โข Perform other related tasks as required by the National Financial Officer.

Remuneration Package:
The OSCE is not in a position to pay any remuneration or cover any expenses incurred by the intern during his/her stay nor reimburse travel expenses.
The selected intern may participate in the group health insurance scheme at his/her own expense, but the OSCE will cover life and accident/disability insurance. If the intern opts to arrange his/her own medical coverage, he/she shall provide evidence of medical coverage for the duty station he/she applies to, and for any eventual duty trip destinations. The internship does not constitute a commitment to future employment with the OSCE
