Work LocationVienna Expected duration6 months Duties and ResponsibilitiesWe seek motivated interns to support the work of the Staffing, Diversity and Outreach Section (SDOS) of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) / United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). You will take up assignments with the Human Resources Management Section (HRMS) to support wide number of diversity and communication initiatives. Our interns report to full-time staff and will be assigned to at least one workstream: Work Stream 1: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Support with and take responsibility according to your capacity on โข Development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives in the field of Gender Equality, Geographical Diversity, Disability Inclusion and other diversity dimensions โข Creating content for internal communication to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in UNOV/UNODC โข Planning and delivery of events to promote diversity, equity and inclusion in UNOV/UNODC Work Stream 2: HR Communications (Employer Branding) Assist in organizing and coordinating key events, including helping with logistics, preparations, and liaising with internal teams under supervision. โข Support wide variety of employer branding initiatives, such as generating digital content for internal and external websites, social media platforms, creation of event flyers and save-the-date notices; โข Assist monitoring, research, and analysis aligned with Staffing Team activities and priorities; โข Support in-person and virtual outreach events by compiling, processing, and visualizing information in a collaborative setting; โข Other daily responsibilities based on the needs and the individualโs background. Interns can work with us in-person or hybrid; part-time or full-time; and for up to six months. Qualifications/special skillsApplicants to the United Nations Internship Programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: 1) Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate school programme (second university degree or equivalent or higher such as Master's degree or equivalent, Ph.D. or post-graduate degree). 2) Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor's level or equivalent). Most interns have prior internships or a year or two of full-time work experience; however, it's not formally required for the UN Internship Programme.
