This internship is part of an academic training program, a professional training program or a socio-professional integration program, and must meet the conditions set by the Conseil de surveillance du marchรฉ de l'emploi (CSME).
Context & Mission
Mรฉdecins Sans Frontiรจres is an independent, international medical and humanitarian organization that provides care to people in need, people affected by natural or man-made disasters, and victims of armed conflict, without discrimination and without regard to race, religion, creed or political affiliation (MSF Charter).
The digital intern will be a member of the Medical technologies and Innovation team, working inside Medical Department, Mรฉdecins Sans Frontiรจres Switzerland.
The unit works on assessing, aggregating and developing innovative ideas that help MSF Social Missions in more than 25 countries, and on projects related to medical technologies and digital health advancements. The unit has two pillars of work stream:
- Aggregation & Communication: promoting, aggregating and communicating innovative ideas, thorough an interactive innovative web platform, called โThinkUpโ Brief overview can be seen on this video. https://bit.ly/2U9JdQR
- Development and Rollout โ through collaboration of experts, ideas will be discussed, developed, tested and piloted before integrating the outcomes as a general use case.
The intern will report directly to the head of the unit and will work in close collaboration with all members of the medical technologies and innovation unit, the IT department and relevant people from communication and other departments.
Tasks and responsibilities
In support to innovation team :
- support updating ThinkUp platform and managing exchange
- updating SharePoint and teamsโ sites, creating discussion forums between field and HQ experts
- Assist in organizing meeting, webinars and workshops and in documentation of minutes
- Assist in drafting reports and communication materials
- Providing technical and administrative support to ongoing projects related to medical technologies and innovation, as required, particularly within Electronic Medical Records
- Monitoring of new digital trends and tools related to coordination and networking
Your profile
- Have a tripartite internship agreement
- English : excellent writing and communication skills
- French : good written and spoken level
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment, SharePoint, sway, teams etc. knowledge of Microsoft power platforms (BI, Automate, Flow) is an advantage
- Knowledge of social medial platform management, graphic software knowledge is an advantage
- Creativity and positive innovative spirit, with aptitude for collaborative teamwork.
- Structured, with rigor and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and take initiative
- Demonstrable interest in Medical technologies, digital health and humanitarian innovation
Terms of employment
- A tripartite internship agreement is mandatory
- 6 to 12 months, according to internship agreement
- Full time (40h/week)
- Based in Geneva, Switzerland

- Gross monthly remuneration 2'000.- CHF
