ABOUT THE JOB
Working as an Information Management Officer, part of the Humanitarian Consulting Team, you will take part in a full solution development lifecycle understanding partners needs and translating them into actionable data solutions. Relief Applications always develops several projects simultaneously which requires the ability to adapt to new skills & tools quickly.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the implementation of the IM and MEAL strategy, together with the humanitarian consulting team;
- Assess and analyse partners-client pre-existing IM systems, tools and data sets;
- Question and understand partners-client requirements and constraints and translate them into concrete data solutions;
- Set up solutions using different data collection and visualisation tools (such as KoboToolbox, PowerBi, Stata ect.) based on partner-clients requirements and constraints;
- Designs, develops and manages data sets;
- Facilitate mobile data collection, from development and data management;
- Create and share data visualisations;
- Provide training to relevant partners-client to improve allow ownership of IM systems and tools, as well as to enhance data management;
- Generate and produce reliable, accessible, relevant, and timely information;
- Provide maps and graphics/infographics that aid forward planning, reducing overlaps as well as impact analysis;
- Ensure timely, consistent, and accurate documentation of data to help turn data into useful content for vulnerable populations;
- Provide regular updates to the team on relevant topics and trends and support the editorial processes to turn data trends into engaging content for target audiences;
- Contribute to enhancement and implementation of data collection and data analysis tools developed by Relief Applications (example: OORT - https://www.oortcloud.tech/)
- Support the project lead with other tasks as and when needed;
PROFILE REQUESTED
Education
- Minimum of Bachelorโs degree in Information Technology, Information Management, Computer Science, GIS, Disaster Management or any other equivalent field.
- At least 2 years of working experience with IM in a multicultural environment.
Skills
- English required โ French highly recommended
- Strong computer literacy skills with advanced skills in MS Excel and statistical analysis.
- Strong knowledge of mobile data collection tools (KoboToolbox, ODK, XLS Form)
- Strong knowledge of data visualisation (PowerBi, Tableau, GIS tools)
- Skills in database management, web-based technology
- Understanding of Humanitarian MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation Accountability and Learning) needs and constraints
- Capacity to develop a training package or user guideline dedicated to IM system as a whole or focusing on IT tools or steps โ adapted to a various of audience type
- Ability to implement complex and participatory projects.
- Ability to work under minimum supervision with drive and initiative.
- Knowledge of CMS, Drupal, Wordpress, Strapi is an asset.
Experience
- At least 1 year of working experience in the humanitarian sector
- Working experience with IM in a multicultural environment
- Experience with handling confidential data is a plus
Salary range
27k to 31k for French contracts
