Work LocationBamako / Mali Expected duration3 calendar months Duties and ResponsibilitiesBackground: The United Nations is supporting Mali's development, peacebuilding and stabilization efforts through its agencies, funds, and programs. A UN Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development (CF) for the period 2020-2024 extended to 2025 signed with the government enables the UN to provide a concerted and coordinated response to the country's challenges and priorities. In line with the United Nations Development Group (UNDG) guidelines on new-generation Cooperation Frameworks resulting from the reform of the United Nations development system, the Mali country team is working with the government to formulate the new Cooperation Framework for the period 2027-2031. Following the roadmap established for the formulation of the new Cooperation Framework, several activities are planned, including the organization of workshops and strategic retreats bringing together United Nations agencies, funds and programs and their strategic partners, mainly government structures, civil society, the private sector and TFPs. Organizing this critical mass of activities within the allotted timeframe will require major efforts from the RCO team, which will be involved both in the substantive tasks of contributing to the various exercises in the CF development process, and in the technical and material organization of the workshops and retreats. To support the effectiveness and efficiency of the RCO's efforts, it is required the punctual support of an expert (consultant) dedicated to the organization of workshops and retreats. These Terms of Reference are intended to set the framework for the support work and highlight the results expected from the technical and material organization of the various events relating to the development of the new 2027-2031 Cooperation Framework. Duties and Responsibilities: The IC will be responsible for identifying and carrying out tasks related to the technical, logistical and material organization of the various retreats, meetings and events linked to the different stages of the CF 2027-2031 formulation cycle. This includes the following steps - The UNCT strategic vision retreat. - Strategic prioritization workshop. - The retreat to finalize the Results Framework. - The retreat to draft the Cooperation Framework document. - Capacity mapping consultation workshop. - Signing ceremony for the Cooperation Framework. - Retreat to draw up the CF financing framework. - Workshops to draw up joint work plans. - Other workshops as required. Qualifications/special skillsA minimum requirement of a high school diploma with 7 years of experience is required. The years of experience is reduced by 2 for candidates who posses a bachelors degree in the following fields: public administration, Legal Sciences, Social Sciences, in Business Management and Organization or a similar field. 7 years of Experience in organizing workshops and retreats and producing reports of similar activities is required A proven experience in mission planning, meeting organization, travel preparation, logistics organization and a strong analytical skills, and excellent report writing and presentation skills is required A proven experience in collecting financial proposals on estimated event costs, in budget analysis related to logistics and overall success of events and ensure the convenience of participants is required A proven ability in teamwork and communication with various stakeholders. Having a team spirit and communicating easily with colleagues and participants. Having computer skills: office package (word, excel power point...) is required Experience with the United Nations is an added advantage LanguagesFluency in French and a good working knowledge of English, both spoken and written, is required.
