Your responsibilities

Indico is a web-based event management system which allows thousands of people around the world to conduct conferences and meetings, sharing materials and collaborating in an easy way. Indico is Open Source, developed at CERN by an international team of passionate developers. It is used by CERN and 200+ other institutes world wide, including the United Nations.

As a core developer in the team, you will:

Work on the upcoming releases of Indico.Actively contribute to a large Open Source project on GitHub.Work closely with other developers, prototyping solutions and iterating on them in an agile environment.Maintain code repositories and take part in code reviews and testing.Possibly work on DevOps infrastructure (OpenStack/Puppet).Engage with users as part of the Indico support rota.

Eligibility criteria:

You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.By the application deadline, you have a maximum of two years of professional experience since graduation in Software Engineering (or a related field) and your highest educational qualification is either a Bachelor's or Master's degree.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Applicants without University degree are not eligible.Applicants with a PhD are not eligible.
