About this position
The Strategy and Knowledge Division provides the backbone to articulate and deploy strategic priorities across the Group. At its core, the function brings value for the organization through the following well-defined objectives: (i) providing leadership in the development of corporate, institutional, and country strategy, including assessment of frontier issues; (ii) directly contributing to individual business units by working with them to develop and implement the strategic direction provided by IDB Invest core strategic documents (e.g., business plan, country strategies); (iii) bringing value by coordinating different parts of the organization: creating alignments between business units, encouraging the sharing of best practices or providing centralized shared services (e.g., planning support); (iv) adopting the role of corporate navigator; identifying interdependencies and enabling strategic decision-making; (v) leading IDB Investโs efforts to become a knowledge driven institution with a focus on internal knowledge management; (vi) coordinating the identification, mapping, generation, recording, retention and dissemination of knowledge across the organization; (vii) articulating and generating actionable country-focused knowledge.
We are looking for a dynamic, problem solving, and results-driven Knowledge Management (KM) Senior Associate to support institutional efforts in becoming a knowledge-driven institution. The senior associate will work as part of a wider team and across departments managing multiple, often parallel initiatives in a fast-paced environment and will report to the Division Chief of Strategy and Knowledge Division.
What you will do:
Implement strategic initiatives and frameworks to advance the knowledge roadmap (eg, publication procedures and workflow). Drive the implementation of content strategy, content management, and information architecture for KM products, including promoting a consistent image for the audiences. Provide support towards the identification of issues, decision points, and risks arising from the execution of KM IT projects and recommend continuous improvement measures. Work effectively across the organization to manage stakeholders, legal teams, service teams, communications teams, and subject matter experts to develop and maintain new and existing products, features, and services. Contribute to defining, improving, and implementing the organizationโs document management systems and related procedures that allow IDB Invest to collect, store, retrieve, share, and destroy electronic records and documents. Ensure timely completion of KM tasks by managing platforms, information systems, and IT projects, working closely with vendors and managing backlog. Contribute to creating materials to support KM initiatives including presentations, videos, brochures, user guides, infographics, project communications strategies, and proposals. Contribute to creating and managing a community of practice of IDB Invest knowledge champions. Assist in identifying potential knowledge synergies inside and outside the institution, aimed at connecting knowledge needs and solutions. Establish partnerships and share validated KM tools, processes, and methodologies. Develop an encouraging and collaborative knowledge sharing culture to drive the successful adoption of technology solutions for KM.What you will need:
Education: masterโs degree in business administration, knowledge management or advanced degree in information science, library science, or related field.
Experience: You have at least 3 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in the areas of knowledge management, content strategy, information architecture, and enterprise search.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Expertise on SharePoint platform and knowledge of design tools (Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe).
Languages: Oral and written proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of Portuguese and/or French is a plus.
