Generic responsibilities:
- Implement NRCโs ICT policies & guidelines at area and field office level.
- Ensure data and network system security.
- Ensure that network access privileges, applications, data storage and regular backups are configured and maintained.
- Implement and update a data disaster recovery plan (back up)
- Schedule computer related services, maintenance, and license renewals
- Ensure installation and maintenance of protection services (anti-viruses and firewalls)
- Plan network upgrades, expansions, and replacements
- Provide ICT support and training to staff.
- Ensure assets / inventories are registered and regularly updated in the monthly report.
- Participate in the procurement processes of ICT equipment with technical support.
Specific responsibilities:
ICT equipment control & maintenance
- To ensure all ICT equipment and related devices are working properly in the East area office.
- Assist in setup, configuration and maintenance of al laptop, desktops, mobiles, printers, scanner, camera and projector.
- Conduct physical asset check across all offices in the East area and ensure that asset list is up to date.
- Follow up on regular maintenance of NRC ICT equipment and networks in East area office of operations, ensure that all devices are in good running condition to support NRC field operations.
- Cooperate with ICT Officer and logistics staffs to follow up asset or inventory items registration process.
- Regular follow up for NRCโs standard antivirus data updating and license renewal.
- Coordinate creation of new e-mail addresses in coordination with HR department.
- To coordinate with ICT Officer from AO to effectively resolve incidents and requests, both hardware and software.
- To regularly check and prepare for the payment of internet bill of AO.
- Assisting in any other ICT related tasks assigned by the ICT Coordinator.
Generic professional competencies:
- Experience in working at ICT field in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Diploma in related field and / or related practical experience, including any training courses relevant to the post
- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts desirable but not essential
- Documented results related to the positionโs responsibilities
- Working knowledge of English both written and spoken
Context related skills, knowledge, and experience:
- Timely delivery of ICT service upon request
- Ability to priority task and respond to urgent request
- Ability to work under pressure, independently and with limited supervision
- Ability and willingness to work and travel (occasionally) under difficult circumstances.
- Security, political and cultural awareness
