The position is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial contract duration until December 31, 2024. Employment location will be Dohuk, Iraq.
As Head of Operations you will facilitate the smooth workflow and efficiency in the Country office and the overall structure of the programme activities in the Country. Your objective is to capacity build the HR, Logistics and IT teams.
Your responsibilities
- Supervision and support to the HR and Logistics Manager
- Provide guidance and support to the Human Resources and Logistics Departments in all field locations
- Capacity building of HR and Logistics teams in Dohuk and the field bases
- Develop and/or update HR and Logistics procedures
- Coordination with project and provide advice when needed
Your profile
- A university or college degree in logistics, business or another relevant field realted to the position
- At least 3 years experience as in a similar position
- At least 3 years previous experience in the Middle East, preferably in Iraq
- Very good command of Welthumgerhilfe's global Human Resources and Logistics procedures
- Experience in structured capacity building
- Readiness to receive necessary vaccinations for working in Welthungerhilfe's programme countries
- Very good English language skills
