Project Context and Scope
The DTM unit produces regular analytical outputs, including the Migrant Report, thematic assessments, and other data-driven publications. To ensure these reports are professionally formatted, visually engaging, and aligned with IOMโs branding standards, there is a need for a qualified graphic designer who specializes in publication layout and infographics. This consultant will play a key role in elevating the presentation and accessibility of DTMโs work through clear, coherent, and high-quality visual design. Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing Displacement Tracking Matrix (DTM) Unit ย Tasks to be performed under this contract ย
- Design and layout IOM publications, including reports, guidelines, info sheets, brochures, flyers, and presentation materials.
- Develop and implement visual elements such as infographics, icons, maps, graphs, and charts to enhance data communication.
- Apply color correction and image optimization as necessary for publication-quality outputs.
- Ensure all outputs comply with IOM's corporate branding and visual identity guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with data analysts and DTM reporting officer to interpret complex data and content into engaging visuals.
- Prepare final design files for online dissemination or printing, ensuring accessibility and quality across platforms.
- Maintain a repository of visual assets, templates, and design materials for ongoing use. ย Education
- Degree or diploma in graphic design, visual communication, or related field
- Certificate in computer graphic design is an advantage Experience
- Proven experience in publication layout and visual storytelling
- Familiarity with typography and typesetting preferred
- Experience working with international or UN organizations is an asset Skills
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail, creativity, and organizational skills Languages
