Work LocationNepal Expected duration1-31 March 2025 Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Nepal prepares an Annual Results Report to highlight the key contributions of the UN system to Nepal’s sustainable development agenda. This report serves as a critical communication tool to showcase UNCT’s impact, achievements, and strategic priorities for development partners, government counterparts, civil society, and the general public. To ensure that the Annual Results Report is engaging, visually appealing, and aligned with UN branding guidelines, UNCT Nepal seeks a Graphic Designer. The assignment includes designing and preparing publication materials/reports, graphic content including info graphs, charts, GIFs, animations • Develop a visually compelling and professionally designed Annual Results Report. • Ensure consistency in layout, typography, and branding across all pages. • Enhance visual representation of complex data using infographics, charts, and tables. • Format graphs, tables, and images in line with UNCT brand guidelines. • Provide print-ready and web-optimized versions of the report. • Work collaboratively with the RCO communications team to finalize designs. • Deliver final files in editable formats (e.g., Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, PDF, and web-optimized formats). Qualifications/special skillsBachelor’s degree in graphic design, Visual Communication, or related field. • Minimum 5 years of experience in graphic design and publication layout. • Proven record of graphic design and lay-out assignments completed and at high quality. • Prior experience working with the UN or international organizations is highly desirable. • Proficiency in design software, including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Canva. • Experience designing reports, publications, and infographics. • Knowledge of UNCT branding guidelines is an asset. • Strong understanding of data visualization and layout design. • Familiarity with humanitarian and development issues in Nepal. Languages• Fluency in written and spoken English is required. • Knowledge of Nepali is an asset.
