To achieve this goal, the United Nations Global Compact helps companies: ● Integrate the ten principles of the Global Compact on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption into corporate strategies and operations to ensure responsible business conduct; ● Focus on cooperation and innovation, and take strategic actions to promote the achievement of broader social goals, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
ContextIn order to enhance and enrich resources and tools provided by the UN Global Compact (UNGC) to its participants in China on business practices for the SDGs, the UNGC Liaison Office in China is in the process of developing and localizing a collection of case studies and publications. The online volunteers will be providing technical support on the design and layout of the publications, helping the team finalize both resources to serve as peer-learning inspiration and guidance for businesses to advance their efforts for the SDGs.
Task DescriptionUnder the direct guidance of the Programme Delivery and Academy Senior Manager and SDG and Innovation Programme Specialist, in close collaboration with the communications team within the UN Global Compact Liaison Office in China, the Online Volunteers will support producing graphic designs and layouts for 3-5 publications by: - Collecting information on document/material background such as target audience, design style, branding guidelines, etc.; - Creating draft designs based on related requirements through discussions with the focal point and communications team; - Developing and laying out the design according to agreed requirements, and revising according to guidance given when necessary; - Delivering the final version of all designed publications with design source files. The design/layout should follow design guidelines, which will be shared with the Online Volunteers.
