EU-fundedย โStrengthening Civil Society for Responsible Business Conductโproject aims to advance the Business and Human Rights (BHR) agenda in Tรผrkiye by empowering civil society to effectively advocate for and contribute to the development and implementation of BHR policies and practices. Over a 36-month implementation period, the project targets rights-based Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), business membership organizations, and other relevant stakeholders.
The project will deliver three main outputs:
Implementation of a BHR Grant Scheme to provide financial support to CSOs working in fields such as workersโ rights, gender equality, environmental justice, and access to remedy. This includes development of detailed grant guidelines, evaluation criteria, and ongoing mentoring and monitoring of grantees. Capacity Building for CSOs, including the delivery of advanced trainings on BHR concepts and tools, development of digital training content, infographics, and resource materials to support CSO engagement with BHR frameworks. Facilitation of Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue through knowledge-sharing platforms, roundtables, and expert-led discussions involving civil society, the business sector, and public institutions. These engagements will also contribute to the development of knowledge products such as toolkits, self-assessment frameworks, and advocacy guides.The action ultimately aims to foster a more accountable and human rights-compliant business environment in Tรผrkiye through empowered civil society engagement.
Scope of Workย
Ensure effective financial and grant management of the project, in full compliance with UNDP rules and EU indirect management procedures.
Establish network and open channels of communication with CSOs.
Maintain strong working relationships with CSOs and ensure continuous financial and administrative follow-up of the grants, in order to support the effective implementation of the project and the achievement of its objectives. Provide technical support to the CSOs for grant scheme and act as a liaison between UNDP and the CSOs.Monitor and report on financial progress in implementing project and grant scheme activities
Monitor and report onย financial implementation of both project activities and the grant scheme, ensuring that expenditures are in line with approved budgets and in compliance with UNDP financial rules and EU donor regulations. Trackย grant disbursements, reviewing financial reports submitted by CSOs, flagging delays or irregularities, and following up on corrective measures where necessary. Maintain and regularly update theย financial monitoring tools, budget trackers, and documentation logs to ensure clear visibility over project and grant fund utilization. Liaise closely with the Portfolio Administrator and UNDPย Finance unit to ensure that all budgetary processes are executed in a timely and accurate manner. Support the preparation ofย donor financial reports, internal expenditure summaries, and audit-ready documentation in accordance with the projectโs reporting schedule. Contribute to theย financial closure of the project, including reconciliation of accounts, final budget performance reports, and proper documentation of all financial records for archiving and audit.Support knowledge management and financial capacity building of grantees
Contribute to the design and delivery ofย grant info sessions for CSOs receiving grants, providing guidance on reporting requirements, eligible cost principles, and audit standards. Develop and shareย financial management templates and tools with grantees to support accurate budgeting, expenditure tracking, and reporting. Assist in the preparation ofย grant scheme-related knowledge materials, including grant guideline, FAQs, compliance checklists, and documentation guides tailored to CSOs. Liaise with project staff and communications teams to support visibility of financial transparency and accountability mechanisms within the project. Perform other finance- and grant-related duties as required to support the efficient implementation of the project.Institutional Arrangement

Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics, Finance, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, or related field is required, orย A first-level university degree (bachelorโs degree) in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree Minimum years of relevant work experienceย Minimum 2 years (with masterโs degree) or 4 years (with bachelorโs degree) of relevant experience at the national or international level in providing management, and/or hands-on experience in grant design, management, financial management, monitoring and evaluation.
