TRAFFIC International is a charity and limited company registered in the UK. TRAFFICโs head office, based in Cambridge UK, provides worldwide leadership, coordination, cross-regional and corporate functions. TRAFFICโs local engagement is managed through programme offices operating under the auspices of the UK charity, with staff based in a hub office and at other strategic locations where necessary. Programme offices operate within a geographic area of responsibility focused on one or multiple countries where TRAFFIC aims to help deliver priority programme outcomes. TRAFFIC works in strategic alliance with IUCN and WWF on wildlife trade issues.
The salary range for this position is between ยฃ23,000 to ยฃ25,000 p.a. depending on experience and skills. JOB DESCRIPTION CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
This position will provide support on a wide spectrum of finance tasks. The holder of this role will support the finance team to carry out the day-to-day financial accounting functions of TRAFFIC International, as described below.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Finance Support Duties:
โข Processing of purchase invoices including matching with purchase orders
โข Update supplier accounts and send out remittance advices
โข Checking and processing of expense forms
โข Updating PayPal donations records for TRAFFIC
โข Managing the finance email
โข Supporting the process around bank payments
โข Support FSO with the monthly bank reconciliations for TRAFFIC Global bank accounts
โข Support FSO with raising of sales invoices and requests for funds
โข Support the finance team in timely submission and approvals of timesheets and collation of monthly project hours for approval by the Project Support Unit
โข Archiving of financial files and information
โข Analysis of credit card statements and collation of supporting receipts
โข Supporting the FSO with updating regional payment schedules and filing of supporting documentation
โข Ad hoc administrative tasks as asked for by the finance team
โข Undertakes any other duties appropriate to the grade that may be determined from time to time by the Director of Operations REQUIREMENTS โข Previous experience working in a finance role
โข Good organisational skills, with experience gathering, analysing and presenting accurate information
โข Good computer literacy skills including excel
โข Ability to multi-task and work well within a team
โข Be motivated, keen to learn and able to work on own initiative when required
โข Good fluency in written and oral English required
