Our Fundraising Intern is responsible for supporting our fundraising team with grants research and writing, fundraising campaigns, donors relation, organizing fundraising events. It is a crucial role for Europe Cares to keep our projects running, grow and further develop our capacity to better meet the needs of the community we serve.

You can join us either full-time for 40h a week, or part-time for 20h a week. You can based anywhere in the world, however you will be required to be available at specific times of the day.

This role can be accounted as an official internship.

Daily tasks

  • Research, contact and apply for relevant grants, funding programs, and sponsorships;
  • Assist in managing donor and sponsor relationships, including maintaining communication and providing necessary follow-up;
  • Help develop fundraising materials, including presentations, flyers, outreach material, etc;
  • Help develop fundraising campaign, including goals, message and content;
  • Help developing concepts for fundraising events;
  • Support volunteers organizing fundraising and/or awareness events;
  • Help maintain a fundraising database and generate reports on fundraising progress and outcomes.

What we are looking for

  • Able to commit for (at least) 3 months;
  • (Under-)graduate degree in a relevant field of study;
  • Interest in the humanitarian sector, especially migration issues;
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information effectively;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English & (desirably) German;
  • Ability to work independently, proactively and collaborate effectively within a team;
  • Good organizational & time management skills;
  • Alignment with the values and mission of Europe Cares.
