Timely submission of meeting report Work Locationremote Expected duration1 month Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the UN's leading environmental entity, UNEP, tackles environmental problems at global and regional level. Its mandate is to coordinate the development of environmental political consensus, keeping the global environment under review, and informing governments and the international community of emerging issues for their action. This consultancy is part of the project \"Greening supply and demand: Promoting Ecolabels and Sustainable Public Procurement for climate and biodiversity protection (Eco-Advance).\" The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety, and Consumer Protection (BMUV), through the International Climate Initiative. One of the objectives of the project is to strengthen existing dialogue platforms & initiatives through organizing a regional meetings to showcase successful experience on ecolabelling. The consultant will support the technical preparation, facilitation, and documentation of meetings linked to Consumer Information and Sustainable Public Procurement. Qualifications/special skillsAcademic: An advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in Public Policy, Environmental Science, or other relevant fields is required. A first-level university degree in International Relations or a related discipline, combined with at least two (2) years of relevant and progressively responsible professional experience, is accepted in lieu of the advanced degree. Professional Experience: - Minimum 5 years of professional experience facilitating meetings and writing reports. - Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and moderation skills is an advantage. - Familiarity with sustainable consumption and production, ecolabelling, sustainable public procurement, and regional cooperation in Latin America and the Caribbean is an advantage. LanguagesFor the position advertised, fluency in oral and written Spanish is required. English and Portuguese are an advantage. Additional InformationNot available.
