Handle and negotiate complex cases of non-payment, rescheduling of debts, enforced recovery measures in coordination with national administrations, ANSPs and the EUROCONTROL Legal Service, settlement with aircraft owners, as well as reorganisation and liquidation cases. Monitor serviceโ€™s performance, identify areas of further development, and optimise existing operational processes. Perform risk assessments in connection with the collection of charges and implement internal controls to mitigate such risks. Contribute to the improvements of the collection information system by coordinating the needs with the technical teams, defining functional requirements and performing validation tests. Produce and present as needed working papers and reports for the enlarged Committee for Route Charges and its sub-groups, and participate in meetings, working groups, etc. Advise and provide recommendations on recovery matters as needed. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

University studies of at least 4 years in Law. Holding a Master would be an asset. A specialisation in Corporate or Aviation Law would also be an asset. Internal candidates can check on the intranet to see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. A minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience. Experience in legal or credit management related activities. Experience in corporate and financial matters or litigation proceedings or bankruptcy proceedings. Experience with business intelligence / reporting tools would be an asset. Knowledge or understanding of the air navigation charges legal framework. Result focus: you ensure the achievement of shared goals. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1/C2. The selected candidate will be required to become basic users of French at level A1/A2 before the end of the probation period. Knowledge of other European languages (such as German, etc) would be an asset.
The levels relate to the European-framework-reference Common European Framework of References for languages (CEFR).

Applications will be accepted from nationals of EUROCONTROL Member States only. The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 5 Year (s) pursuant to the provisions of the Staff Regulations governing officials at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed up to a maximum of 9 years or converted into an undetermined contract. Before being established in the post, the selected candidate will be requested to provide certified copies of their degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months. The internal staff member with a determined contract will be offered, in principle, an appointment for 5 Year(s) with a maximum total duration of 9 years. The successful candidate shall be appointed at the grade set out in this vacancy notice, or if a group of grades has been published for a job level, in principle at the basic grade of the published job level.
