The IMF is inviting applications from experienced macroeconomists currently residing in the Sub-Saharan Africa region to join the Mid-Career Pipeline - a pool of ready-to-hire candidates who are eligible for internal macroeconomist vacancies across the Fund.

We will conduct Regional Recruitment Outreach Missions to Sub-Saharan Africa, aimed at engaging with and interviewing experienced economists from across the continent. The recruitment outreach mission will conduct interviews using several countries within the region as hubs: Abidjan, Cote dโ€™ Ivoire and Dakar, Senegal in February 2025, and South Africa (Pretoria and Cape town) and Nairobi, Kenya in March 2025. Candidates residing in the SSA region will be interviewed at one of the hubs closest to them.
