Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission (CoM) and direct supervision of the ES/NFI Cluster Information Management Officer, the Project Assistant (IM-ES/NFI Cluster) will support the ES/NFI Cluster in the timely and efficient provision of required information management services. Timely and accurate information is integral to the successful coordination of humanitarian action. For information to support analysis for operational and strategic decision-making, shared standards and common approaches are required to facilitate the delivery and monitoring of assistance within and across Clusters and to undertake gap analysis in determining priorities.
- Assist in collecting, entering, and organizing Shelter and NFI-related data from partners.
- Supported maintaining and updating contact lists, mailing lists, and cluster document repositories.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for IM training sessions and coordination meetings.
- Assist in formatting and preparing periodic updates, maps, and infographics developed by the Information Management Officer.
- Support in monitoring partner reporting and sending reminders to ensure timely submissions.
- Help compile partner inputs for the cluster monthly dashboards and reports.
- Liaise with regional focal points to collect and organize field data and feedback.
- Support in updating content on shared platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Dropbox).
- Assist in preparing documentation for meetings, taking notes, and organizing follow-up actions.
- Format and lay out documents, reports, and presentations to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to cluster or IOM branding guidelines
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION
- ย University degree in information technology, Demography, Statistics, and Social Sciences with two years of relevant experience, or[NV1]ย ย
- School diploma with four years of relevant experience.ย

EXPERIENCE
- . Previous experience in the Shelter Cluster would be an asset.ย
SKILLS
- Knowledge of Cluster mechanisms, UN coordination systems and Humanitarian Reform process.ย
- Knowledge and experience of shelter-related programs with understanding on natural disaster and conflict-related emergencies and contexts.ย
- Knowledge of different data collection methodologies. Proven skills in analyzing statistical information. Ability to formulate IM-related technical requirements and Operating Procedures. Ability to translate planning specifications into technical briefs for data capture and analysis and vice versa.ย Languages
- Fluency in English and Amharic IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
