Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the National Communications Officer (Managing Editor), the Communications Assistant will contribute to the successful implementation of IOM Ukraineโs communications and outreach activities.ย
- Draft content for IOM Ukraineโs social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter) and provide social media marketing (SMM) support to the wide range of the Mission programmes and projects.ย ย
ย ย ย 2. Assist with social media analytics to track and enhance IOM Ukraine social presence.ย
ย ย ย 3.Contribute to IOM HQ social media communication by drafting unique content and by adapting IOM global messages for ย ย ย ย ย ย ย local audiences in Ukraine.ย ย
ย ย ย 4. Support supervision of paid social media campaigns, as well as analyze and improve metrics for social media campaign ย ย ย ย ย ย ย effectiveness.ย ย
ย ย ย 5. In coordination with all thematic units in the Mission and the National Communications Officer, prepare storytellers, news ย ย ย ย ย ย ย updates, press announcements and press releases.ย ย
ย ย ย 6. Contribute to the visibility of IOM activities in Kyiv Region ย by conducting interviews with key stakeholders and ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย beneficiaries, taking photos and videos, drafting communications materials and reaching out to local media.ย
ย ย ย ย 7. Assist with editing the content supplied from IOM field hubs and partners (IPs, media market companies, etc.) to ensure ย ย ย ย ย ย ย compliance with IOM communication standards and relevance of the narratives for different audiences.ย ย
ย ย ย ย 8. Create banners, posters, videos, stories and other visuals for social media as well as infosheets, using professional ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย graphic design programmes in line with IOM brandbook guidelines.ย ย
ย ย ย ย 9. Facilitate compliance with donor requirements for social media.ย ย
ย ย ย ย 10. Support National Communications Officer in preparation of communications coverage reports for various donors.ย ย
ย ย ย ย 11. Prepare media monitoring reports on the issues relevant to IOM Ukraineโs scope of work and expertise.ย ย
ย ย ย ย 12. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.ย
Education- High school diploma with five years of relevant experience; or,ย
- Bachelorโs degree in Journalism, Social or Political Sciences or related fields from an accredited institution with three years of relevant professional experience. ย Experience
