ย Context:
Under the overall supervision of the Project Development, Reporting and Grants Management Officer, and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer
(Partnerships & Localization).
- Assist in the coordination and monitoring of the operational, administrative and financial aspects of IOM Iraqโs implementing partnerships in accordance with IOM policies and practices as well as donorโs requirements.
- Keep the supervisor informed on the status of project implementation; identify gaps and suggest actions to improve implementation.ย
- Participate in the development and adjustment of work plans, project budgets, Monitoring & Evaluation tools and standard operations procedures for IOM Iraqโs implementing partners
- Coordinate the collection, verification and analysis of data and background information on the progress and achievements of IOM Iraqโs implementing partners; update information management systems andย project related activities including project awareness and visibility, summaries, donor briefings and other relevant materials.
- Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports in accordance with IOM procedures and donor requirements.ย
- Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, United Nations agencies, local authorities and stakeholders and government counterparts to promote a more coherent approach to engaging with local partners.ย
- Contribute to the planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity strengthening activities targeting civil society partners, implementing partners and communities.ย ย
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups, interagency coordination meetings, and other forumsย
- Participate in the preparation of project proposals and a diverse range of communication products, concept notes and other planning documents
- Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation, monitoring visits, project assessments, liaison with counterparts, etc.ย
- Perform other related duties as required.ย Education
- Bachelorโs degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
- Masterโs degree in the above-mentioned fields from an accredited academic university or institute.ย Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database. ย Experience
- Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations;ย
- Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups; and,
- Experience in working with civil society organizations and advancing the localization agendaย
- Experience and strong familiarity with IOMโs operating procedures for implementing partnership managementย
- Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage. Skills
- In-depth knowledge of localization programming and IOMโs institutional approaches and frameworks for partnerships.
- Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
- Knowledge of IOMโs financial rules and regulations for implementing partners. Languages
- Fluency in English, Kurdish, and Arabic is required.ย IOMโs official languages are English, French and Spanish.
