The position will be based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

EpiC Central Asia Project Description:

Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) is an eight-year global project funded by the U.S. Presidentโ€™s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

In 2020, FHI 360 through EpiC launched a new multi-year project in Central Asia being implemented in Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Building on the successes to date in the three countries, EpiC is focusing on expanding HIV case finding in the community, and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV), with a focus on select key population groups.

Since 2023 EpiC Kyrgyz Republic implements Global Health Security (GHS) project to support the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic in its preparedness and response to global health challenges and pandemics. EpiCโ€™s GHS activities in Kyrgyzstan are well aligned with the countryโ€™s strategic priorities as specified in the National Action Plans for Health Security (NAPHS), and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) goals.

Job description:

The EpiC Kyrgyzstan Grants and Localization Officer will have overall responsibility for the grants management processes of the GHS project in the Kyrgyz Republic from pre-award to grant close-out. They will work closely with the Programs and Finance teams and will provide professional expertise and technical training from pre-award to close-out of sub-awards, including development of subaward solicitations, negotiation, preparation of sub-award packages, execution, monitoring and overall administration. The Grants and Localization Officer will be in routine contact with the sub-awardees in the target regions, conducting compliance site visits and providing ongoing support for financial and management systems setup and strengthening sub-awardees capacity. They will ensure that all functions under the GHS project sub-awardees are conducted in an efficient manner and in compliance with USAID and FHI 360 policies, procedures, and regulations. Reporting to the EpiC Kyrgyzstan Associate Director of Finance, this position will be based in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
