Role and responsibilitiesย
The purpose of the Youth Education Project Assistant is to assist in the day-to-day implementation of youth education activities for both Libyan and non-Libyan children, adolescents, and youth (TVET, English language programme, life skills) under supervision of the Education Project Officer. Activities include but not limited to, volunteersโ professional development, youth trainings, life skills, outreach activities.

Specific responsibilities:ย
These responsibilities shall be adapted to the particularities of the job location and context, phase of operation, strategic focus, and type of programme intervention. This section shall be revised whenever a new employee is hired or the context changes significantly.ย
โข Responsible for implementing the planned education activities at field level following programme work-plans under the supervision of the Education Project Officer.
ย โข Monitor, supervise, and provide directions to incentive-based teachers and volunteers in line with project work-plans and objectives including weekly task/lesson plans.ย
โข Develop and regularly update classes/training schedules (life skills, basic literacy and numeracy classes, youth activities. etc.), PSS activities and outreach plans for assigned activities.ย
โข Regular travel to field to ensure ongoing monitoring, data collection (attendance, pre-post assessments, registration, enrollment), support, and reporting of activities at field level.
ย โข Support the delivery of teacher training, community engagement initiatives, outreach activities in coordination with Education Project Officer.
ย โข Ensure direct communication and feedback with beneficiaries and relevant host communities including internal and external referrals, dissemination of NRC CFM as well as report beneficiariesโ feedback.
ย โข Facilitate life skills and parents' engagements activities. โข Ensure collection of all needed documents from incentive-based volunteers' payment to facilitate their monthly incentive payment.ย
โข Conducting needs assessments.ย
โข Support and implement distributions of teaching and learning materials.ย
โข Supervision of incentive-based volunteers including attendance, work deliverables, and cash for-work documentation.ย
โข Any other task relevant to the position as requested by line manager.

โข Strong organizational skills and communication skills, good computer skills in Microsoft office (MS Excel, Word, and outlook).ย
โข Understanding of Sphere and INEE minimum standards is a plus.ย
โข Candidates with a university bachelor's degree.ย
โข Written and spoken fluency in Arabic; proficiency in English.ย
