ย Context Under the direct supervision of the Sub-Regional Media and Communications Officer for the Nordic Countries and in coordination with the Programme Managers (CCMD and CAPACITY programmes) and under the overall supervision of the Sub-Regional Coordinator for the Nordic Countries/Chief of Mission Denmark, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting different internal and external communications initiatives, prioritizing media and communications activities related to programmes managed by IOM Denmark.
ย Experience ย Proven, successful experience in using media and social media for advocacy, public information, and furthering understanding and knowledge about an organization and its mandate, preferably with a focus on humanitarian assistance and migration; Proven experience in producing compelling pictures and video content. High level of professionalism and ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. Experience developing and disseminating digital content for websites and social media for international organizations, government or non-governmental organizations. In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization is desirable. Experience in working in an international environment and matrix organization is an advantage
ย Skills Excellent and proven creative writing and editing skills, including the ability to write well under pressure to meet tight deadlines and the ability to write compellingly for different audiences. Strong communication and organizational skills; High level of computer literacy (MS Office Applications, ADOBE Creative Clouds); Familiarity with design and/or editing tools is an advantage.
