Evaluates volunteer applications and conducts interviews for recruitment
Organizes administrative files for each team and updates team calendar.
Liaises regularly with Executive Director and Training Director to ensure the effective
and thorough training of field volunteers.
Regularly maintains contact with all volunteers active in teams.
Facilitates weekly logistics Skype call.
Communicates monthly with the Board of Directors or as needed.
Completed/enrolled in a Graduate degree; Law preferred (required).
Minimum ten years of relevant experience, preference for applicants with five plus years of supervisory or coordinator experience.
Demonstrated experience with working with refugees and asylum-seekers, with preference for applicants with prior experience serving in Greece or Italy or Turkey in aid work.
Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Fluent in English. Knowledge of Arabic, Greek, Farsi are considered an asset.
The position requires responsiveness and professionalism for all situations and events.
Duration of the position is six months, with preference in hiring for longer term applicants.
The NGO will provide full training and review materials, as well as two deputy assistants.
The position is unpaid, with reimbursement for operational costs.
