The Sexual and Reproductive Health global team is a diverse, multi-country-based team that plays a critical role in technical excellence for project implementation in its geographies of focus. The global team is also tasked with ensuring that project learning and evidence is disseminated and translated within key communities of practice, so that the value of the project is sustained through its contribution to advancing progress in SRH implementation globally.


PSI seeks a Deputy Chief of Party that will support the Chief of Party to lead the overall delivery of the project, providing oversight for project implementation and ensuring project deliverables are delivered on time, within budget, and with high technical quality. Other duties include: supervising personnel, ensuring the project is aligned with PSI strategic priorities, contributing to PSI's thought leadership objectives, and ensuring the project operates with minimal financial, contractual, and reputational risk.


Salary Range:
$111,000 (MINIMUM) - $139,000 (MID-POINT) - $167,000 (MAXIMUM)
For US-based candidates, the annual base salary range is reflected above. * We value transparency and have provided the full salary range for this role. Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as a candidateโ€™s qualifications, experience, internal equity, external market analysis, and other business factors permitted by law. Hiring above the mid-point of the range would not be typical to allow for potential future salary growth. Your contributions

Manage project staffing, roles and responsibilities, and professional development of staff. 15% of TimeManage project finances, including oversight of the development of budgets, tracking of spending, financial projections, and financial reporting. 10% of TimeManage project results, including support and/or oversight to senior country program staff in programmatic, technical, and financial execution of project activities. 15% of TimeOversee project compliance with donor and PSI policies, including for subaward management. 10% of TimeDevelop strategic approaches and workplans to achieve project deliverables. 10% of TimeOversee programmatic reporting and, if the project does not have a Technical Director, technical deliverables. 15% of TimeRelationship building and engagement with donors and internal and external partners. What are we looking for?

Masterโ€™s Degree (or international equivalent) in a related field such as a MPH, MBA, MSc, MHA, MPA, or equivalentAt least 8 years of related experience. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.At least 3 years supervisory experience.At least 5 years program management for global health projects in low or middle-income countries (LMICs) preferred.At least 3 yearsโ€™ experience in the relevant technical field of the project preferred.At least 2 yearsโ€™ experience living/working in 2+ LMICs preferred.Ability to effectively manage teams. Excellent employee development and management skills. Knowing when to coach, when to advise and when to provide specific direction.Innovative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills that lead to practical, effective delivery strategies to accomplish project activities, outputs, outcomes, and project impact.Organization and attention to detail.Financial and budget management.Knowledge of relevant funder regulations.Excellent skills in oral and written communications and knowledge management.Excellent diplomatic skills and proven ability to work effectively with government officials, partners, donors, and stakeholders at high levels.
