Position Summary
Responsible for collecting and entering data in databases and maintaining accurate records of valuable institution information.


  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners
  • Ensure that PEPFAR MER, MOH HIA2 reports and any other partner specific reports are compiled & submitted timely to facility in-charge
  • Assists the facility in performing site level Data Quality Improvement (DQI)
  • Assist the facility in conducting data analysis, interpretation and data use at site level through making graphical presentations during facility meetings.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Perform regular SmartCare backups to ensure data preservation and upward rollout of transport Database (TDBs) from facility to district health office
  • Train facility staff in the use of SmartCare especially onboarding new/existing staff
  • Perform facility software and hardware troubleshooting

Experience, Skills and Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate with minimum of five credits including Mathematics, Science and English
  • Diploma: IMIS, ICT, Computer Science, Demography; degree an added advantage
  • 1-2 years’ relevant job experience
  • Computer literate; competency in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in working with SmartCare is an added advantage
  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills
