CPF and UNSCR 1267 & 1373 workshop delivery o Prepare and oversee the delivery of CPF workshops to seven Member States o Coordinate workshop delivery with UNODC CPF stakeholders and partners o Participate in workshop delivery as a subject matter expert C. CPF and UNSCR 1267 & 1373 evaluation and concept development o Provide input to the quarterly donor progress reports and provide input to relevant United Nations governing bodies on the CPF project o Develop future stages of the CPF project D. PF research o Review UN Expert Panel reports and other sources in regard to new trends in PF activities and draft summaries to UNODC GPML Programme Officer o Provide analysis and advice on how UNODC can respond to existing and emerging PF trends Work Locationhome-based Expected duration01/05-31/08/2024 Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Head of GPML, the consultant will work in coordination with other UNODC consultants and staff to provide practical advice and deliverables as follows: I. Coordinate the production of GPML’s remote and in-person CPF curriculum and review curriculum content in coordination with the project’s stakeholders II. Deliver CPF and UNSCR 1267 & 1373 workshops in coordination with other UN personnel and external partners III. Assist the evaluation, reporting and project management of GPML’s CPF and UNSCR 1267 and 1373 projects IV. Undertake research on proliferation financing trends and policy development. Qualifications/special skillsAn advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in criminal justice, criminology, law, political science, management or other related fields is required. A first-level university degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Formal qualifications or certifications from a recognized national or international customs authority, police academy, or military-training institution, supplemented by specialization in criminal justice, crime prevention, or law enforcement, in combination with four (4) additional years of qualifying work experience, may be accepted in lieu of the first level university degree. A minimum of two (2) years’ professional experience, including research and analysis experience in the area of preventing the financing of terrorism and the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction is required. Experience in delivering technical assistance on UNSC sanctions is required. Experience in developing and delivering technical assistance to public and/or private institutions is required. Experience in project management is desirable. LanguagesEnglish and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations working language is an advantage. Additional InformationNot available.
