Controlling Banking Operations and Reporting Chief Economist, Finance Department

Key responsibilities:

  • Carrying out daily control of banking operations and their reflection in accordance with the Bank's Accounting Policy, control over the correctness of accounting in accordance with IFRS;
  • Opening/closing accounts in the Bank's ABS, account inventory;
  • Opening/closing business days;
  • Control over the implementation of manual transactions;
  • Preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS;
  • Support for the semi-annual review audit and annual audit of the bank, interaction with external auditors;
  • Preparation of the Bank's cash flow statement using the direct method;
  • Preparation of quarterly reports for the bank's shareholder;
  • Preparation of reports and materials for the internal audit on a semi-annual basis, processing of Audit Committeeโ€™s requests for reporting and accounting data;
  • Preparation of the Bank's monthly management reports;
  • Financial planning (PL, BS), budget execution analysis, data consolidation, comprehensive analysis of financial and economic activities;
  • Preparation of analytical data for calculating the Bankโ€™s KPI, rating agencies and external requests.

    Job requirements:
    Education:

  • University degree in economics, finance;
Additional professional certificates (ACCA, CIMA etc.) will be an advantage.

Work experience:

Working experience in related function within Financial Department of a bank at least three years; Experience in preparing and verification of financial reporting according to IFRS;Working experience in auditing and/or financial controlling;Experience in BIG4 companies is an advantage;Work experience in international organizations and/or international banks and/or development banks and/or commercial banks, including IIB member states (top 40) and/or a relevant position in dedicated governmental bodies in the Bankโ€™s member states โ€“ desired.

Knowledge, skills and competencies:

Knowledge of accounting and IFRS principles in a bank;Knowledge of banking management reporting principles; Strong analytical skills;Advanced PC user (Excel, Word, Power Point โ€“ advanced user; Access, Business Object/Business Intelligent, Diasoft โ€“ as additional advantage);Upper - Intermediate and higher level of Russian and English languages;Knowledge of second foreign language of IIB member-states is a plus.
