ContextThe Rights of Older Persons Section at OHCHR is dedicated to advancing and protecting the human rights of older persons, ensuring their dignity, and addressing issues such as discrimination, neglect, and violence. As part of this mandate, there is a strong need to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by older persons and to mobilize public support and advocacy through innovative communication strategies.

Task DescriptionThe Online Volunteer will assist the Rights of Older Persons Section at OHCHR by producing content and raising awareness on the rights of older persons. Key responsibilities will include: Content Creation: Develop 8-10 engaging multimedia pieces of content, including animations and videos, to promote older persons' rights. Social Media Campaign: Organize and execute a social media campaign to raise awareness on key issues, ensuring wide engagement and visibility. Awareness-Raising: Support efforts to increase understanding of the human rights challenges faced by older persons through creative and informative content. This role requires proficiency in graphic design, animation, video production, and social media strategy.
