Background of the study:

As part of the Danida Hum Project, 4 countries i.e Uganda, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia participated in a youth led vulnerability assessment study to try and understanding the vulnerabilities of young women and men living in their context.

The mapping (assessment) was carried out by 20 young women from 4 countries which aimed at; understanding how young people understand their rights to protection in fragile contexts, understanding how young people cope and manage risks in fragile contexts where rights to protection is undermined and understanding young peopleโ€™s aspirations for the future and their suggestions to realize their rights fully.

The assessment involved desk reviews, consultations with youth and stakeholders, and validation exercises, culminating in a comprehensive report submitted by each participating country.

Scope of Work:

We seek a consultant to assist in generating a synthesis report drawing key findings from all the reports from the countries.

Overall objectives:

The overarching objective is to:

  • Provide a comprehensive overview of the vulnerabilities and coping mechanisms of young women and men across the four countries.
  • Highlight common themes, challenges, and recommendations emerging from the assessments.
