About the position ย
The consultancy aims to assist in the design and execution of research aligned with the Social Progress Index (SPI). The main objective is to complement the existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the ABF (Amazon Biodiversity Fund) with household-level data, enhancing the granularity of impact measurement and providing comprehensive evidence of impact at the community level.
Key Responsibilitiesย

- Survey Design: Develop a comprehensive survey framework largely based on the Social Progress Index (SPI) to collect household-level data.
- Implementation Strategy: Design and propose an effective implementation plan for the survey, outlining methodologies and resource requirements.
- Data Collection: Apply the survey across targeted communities, ensuring quality, accuracy, and inclusivity in data collection procedures. A minimum of 100 interviews is expected, with the possibility of calibration in this number, with either more or fewer interviews, based on the defined target community.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze the collected data and provide in-depth insights to supplement existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Produce comprehensive reports presenting findings and actionable recommendations.

- Proven experience in research design, implementation, and data analysis
- Familiarity with the methodology of the Social Progress Index (SPI) and socioeconomic indicators
- Expertise in environmental impact assessment or related fields
- Strong communication and report-writing skills
- Languages: Fluent in Portuguese and English

Remote work; alignment meetings will be conducted periodically via Teams or Meets; The work is scheduled to commence in February 2024 and conclude in December 2024, with the potential for extension based on the refinement of the work plan; Payment will be issued upon receipt of an invoice; The total budget for this consultancy should encompass all expenses related to research design, implementation, data collection, logistics, materials, analyses, and report production; Proposals offering the best cost-effectiveness will be considered for the final interview stage.
