As part of the Global Strategic Planning and Reporting Centre in New Delhi and in close collaboration with the Federation-wide Data Systems team in Geneva, the purpose of the consultancy is to support the data analysis and visualization of Federation-wide financial data to be incorporated into external versions of the country unified plans and reports.
Key tasks and responsibilities
In reference to the preparation of 2023 annual reports being undertaken by the IFRC Global Strategic Planning and Reporting Centre, the consultant will be required to undertake the following complementary work:
- Data consolidation: Extract key annual/semi-annual financial datasets from IFRC financial systems, and Country level National Society data collection forms and consolidate to provide a summary Federation-wide financial overview and analysis.
- Data cleaning and quality assurance: Engage with regional and country IFRC colleagues to ensure that the quality and coverage of Federation-wide financial data is complete and accurate, incorporating all datasets from IFRC and National Societies.
- Data analysis and visualization: Propose and prepare summaries and data visualizations to provide a clear financial overview, accurately managing and presenting overlaps in data, and identifying financial coverage and gaps.
- Communication/Coordination: Liaise with colleagues within the IFRC secretariat in Geneva and in regional offices as needed and in particular with the Federation-wide Data Collection and Analysis Officer in Geneva.
