The International Food Policy Research Institute [IFPRI] with support from the CGIAR Initiative on Transformational Agroecology is completing a study for which the institute seeks the support of an individual consultant with extensive econometric and analytical skills for the following four tasks:

Background:

The Agroecology Initiative is engaged in undertaking an evaluation of an intervention in Madhya Pradesh. The evaluation design uses pre-intervention Census data to identify a set of comparable treatment and control villages, and quantitative surveys and on-farm biophysical data collection to measures farm and village level outcomes concurrent with the project theory of change.

Activities:

Direct data cleaning data and preparation of final dataset for analysis Prepare (with IFPRI) presentation on initial survey findings to share with partners Develop paper on impact of GIZโ€™s ProSoil project on socio-economic, agricultural, and biophysical outcomes

Deliverables:

1. Note on data cleaning measures

2. Submission of presentation with initial survey findings

3. Submission of Draft paper with literature review, and empirical evidence

4. Submission of Final paper considering reviewer comments

Contract period: Receipt of signed contract to June 30, 2024

Level of Effort: 25 days

Qualifications:

Masterโ€™s Degree or higher in social sciences Demonstrated experience with preparing research papers Demonstrated experience with econometric analyses Familiarity with South Asia
