UNICEF's Global Shared Services Centre (GSSC) in Budapest, Hungary supports UNICEF operations globally in the areas of Finance, Human Resources, Payroll and Information Technology. As our new intern, you will support the Communications Team in the Service Quality Management (SQM) section. The communications function at the GSSC manages internal and external communication platforms, producing multimedia content, newsletters, and campaigns to enhance staff engagement and knowledge sharing. It supports various communication initiatives, including visual content creation, SharePoint management and the coordination of strategic messaging and events.ย
Under the overall supervision and guidance of the Communication Specialist, the intern will support the team with content creation for the GSSCโs internal platforms.
How can you make a difference?ย
Write articles to the GSSCโs internal SharePoint site.ย Support in visual design tasks, such as editing presentations, flyers or other visual materials.ย Provide administrative SharePoint support to GSSC colleagues.ย Provide administrative support to the team as required.ย Support planning and execution of internal communications campaigns.ย Support in the production of the GSSCโs podcast, Talking GSSC.ย Support in staff engagement initiatives.ยTo qualify as an advocate for every child you will haveโฆย

This contract is for an initial 3-month duration, 30-40 working hours/week, a minimum of 3 days per week office attendance required, 2 days per week can be remote. Intern is expected to be in the office when needed for specific activities. The anticipated start date of this internship is December 2024. The intern must fund their travel and living expenses. This internship is paid with a stipend of net HUF 2105 / hour capped at net HUF 362,133 per month. Interns may take up to 2.5 paid leave days per month for any reason, including for medical reasons. The stipend will be reduced for any absence beyond this quota.
