Your responsibilities
The CMS CO2 cooling control systems engineer will be involved in the design, development, deployment and commissioning of the current and future CMS CO2 detector cooling controls systems. His/Her main duties will focus mainly on systems dedicated to phase II upgrades of CMS both in surface and underground. He/she will take responsibility for the supervision of the control system hardware production, installation and on site commissioning. He/she will participate in the PLC and SCADA programming, using the CERN UNICOS CPC 6 framework. He/she will play key role in test documentation preparation and commissioning progress reporting. He/she will actively interact with the various project stakeholders from different CERN teams ensuring effective and safe on site controls installation and cabling.

PLC and SCADA programming (using SCHNEIDER control expert software is a plus)Electrical design (using E-PLAN software is a plus)Electrical hardware selection and sizingExperience in large control system commissioning and trouble shootingFluent in English, the ability to work in French would be an advantage.Eligibility criteria:
You are a national of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.You have a professional background in Electrical Engineering (or a related field) and have either: a Master's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;or a PhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.Additional Information

This position requires:
