The Cloud Systems Administrator reports to the Senior Cloud Management Officer. Responsibilities- Assists in designing, implementing, and maintaining the production infrastructure for public and hybrid cloud environments to support continuous delivery and deployment of codes from the development into the production environment. - Performs application systems administration tasks including MS SQL server database software, software patch management, software upgrades and conducts systems health and performance monitoring checks; prepares technical reports on enterprise applications performance. - Participates in cloud migration and optimization efforts; assist in monitoring system activity and performance; responds to and troubleshoots system failures and ensures required components integration of enterprise applications in the operations environment. - Keeps up-to-date documentation of system installations, client configuration and connectivity instructions, backup/restore instructions, and applicable disaster recovery instructions. - Assists in setting up test environments for piloting, staging, and testing upgrades or deployments of enterprise applications in coordination with relevant teams. - Provides day-to-day technical assistance to Field IMT staff to facilitate user access to centralized applications and ensure smooth operation across supported environments. - Stays current with cloud technologies and trends, especially Azure and recommend innovative solutions that align with UNRWA strategy. Job - Specific QualificationFormal training in Microsoft Server and Cloud technologies, specifically Azure Cloud is required. Work Experience- At least four years responsible and relevant work experience in application systems administration in a production environment, with hands on experience in database, document management and workflow administration functions is required. - A university degree from an accredited educational institution in computer science, information technology, electrical/computer engineering or other related discipline is required. - Good knowledge of MS Windows Server Operating System and MS SQL database software & administration is required. - Experience of administering enterprise systems in the Azure cloud is required. - Knowledge of UNRWAโs operations and computer facilities environment is desirable - Are you currently residing in Duty station.
