About this position
We are looking for a self-motivated, innovative data engineer, cloud data savvy, customer oriented and great teammate. As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for cloud data operations including data pipelines, transformation, data virtualization, advancing analytics governance, data quality, and taking security as a first approach for all activities.
You will work in the IT Operations Division, which is part of the ITE department. This team is responsible for crafting and handling the operation of the information technology infrastructure, platforms and solutions that support the business of the Bank
What you鈥檒l do
路 You will partner with project teams to architect, collaborate, influence, and communicate data analytics solution and cloud technology to various development and infrastructure teams across the organization.
路 Provide data analytics solutions, which includes the Data Marketplace and the Data Warehouse, modeling, Business Intelligence, and Advance Analytics. In addition, provide technical direction to data modelers, data analysts, data integration, and database administrators.
路 Design and implement frameworks to support the next generation analytical solutions within the organization, leveraging existing and new tools and technologies and following the guidelines and standard methodologies established in conjunction with the Architecture, Governance and Security groups.
What you'll need
路 Education: You hold a bachelor鈥檚 degree in computer science or related field. Certifications on cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud services are a plus. Data warehouse, data pipeline and integration certifications are preferred. Python based analytics certifications are also a plus.
路 Experience: At least 2 years of experience in data warehouse design and implementation, analytics solutions architecture, data pipeline and integration for different type of information such as traditional SQL structured and json like unstructured data for analytics. Knowledgeable about ETL processes and data. Experience working with Cloud Formation templates, AWS Service Catalog and familiar with CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement.
路 Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

路 Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
路 Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
